Parking and accessibility
How can you reach the hotel?
Mel’ Apart Hotel is within walking distance of Zandvoort train station. In winter there is a train every half hour to Amsterdam Central Station via Haarlem. In the summer every 15 minutes. Check 9292.nl for planning and reservations can also be made. From Airport Schiphol it is about 45 minutes.
From Germany it is possible to come to the Netherlands with the Flixbus. This will take you to Amsterdam Sloterdijk, after which there is a direct train connection to Zandvoort aan Zee.
Parking
There is paid parking throughout Zandvoort, but there are a few places where you can buy a day or week card for a good price. There are winter and summer rates and through the site zandvoort.parkeerservice.nl you can also reserve a place.
NB! New rates will take effect from July 2023.
In the Center area €4 per hour for the first 2 hours, then €7 per hour. Keep an eye on this and park for a longer period of time on the boulevard in the LDC car park or on the South car park. We will adjust the website to the current parking rates by then.
- Haarlem Spaarwoude (IKEA)
You can park here for free and you can reach our hotel in 15 minutes by train from Haarlem Spaarnwoude. This prevents traffic jams to Zandvoort and the area is easily accessible by Dutch public transport. (one way Haarlem Spaarnwoude – Zandvoort costs € 2.70). Our hotel is located next to Zandvoort train station.

This is a car park 16 minutes walking distance from Mel’s. The car park offers a weekly rate for € 35.00.Address: Ingenieur G. Friedhoffplein 14, 2042 BN Zandvoort
- Parking garage Louis Davids Carre (LDC, payment terminal in the parking garage)
You can also park in the LDC car park. The costs for this are €2.50 per hour, a daily rate of €15 (from July €20 for 24 hours, 3-days for €35 and 7-days for €60) and a weekly rate. from € 50.00. This location is a 6 minute walk from the hotel. A good alternative is Boulevard Barnaard €15 for 24 hours, also a 5-minute walk away.Address: Louis Davids Carré 1 – 2042 LZ Zandvoort
If you park on or near the boulevard, you must pay between 10 a.m. and 10 p.m. You buy your parking ticket in advance at one of the parking machines or you register via a call parking app. Note: The hourly rate on the street is higher than the hourly rate at a parking lot or in the parking garage. Only permit holders are allowed to park just behind the boulevard. So pay close attention to whether you park at a parking meter, otherwise you risk a fine of at least € 100.
Since June 2022, a service point for shared scooters has been set up at De Zuid car park and on the corner of Louis Davidsstraat-Prinsesseweg. After parking, you can easily rent an e-scooter and no longer have to walk to your destination. In addition to these service points, there are 5 service points in Zandvoort. Do you have a suspicion that it will be a busy day and parking could be difficult? Take the train! In the summer, it runs 6 times an hour from Amsterdam Central Station and/or Haarlem to Zandvoort Station. Then you will be standing with your feet in the sand within 5 minutes! The station is less than 200 meters from the beach. You can also walk straight into the center of Zandvoort.
